Pre Commissioning and commissioning of plant
• Acting as shift supervisor on his absence.
• Training field operators.
• Training newly recruited operators.
• Coaching of new Qatari operators.
• Assisting in preparing punch list.
• Practical Assessment of the operators.
• Preparing documents for safe start up of the plants.
• Preparing blind lists for plant.
• Supporting in DCS (FOXBORO I/A Ver 9.0.1) operations
Ensuring uninterrupted and quality supply of feed to Process units.
• Ensuring product dispatch with required product specification,
• Guiding operators to carry out accurate product blending.
• Crude and product oils accounting,
• Supervision of truck loading and tanker loading facilities,
• Product planning,
• Corrective actions to minimize quality give away,
• Monitoring, measuring and accounting product movements,
• Proper tank, gas storage maintenance,
• Ensuring safety norms in carrying out maintenance,
• Automation and modernization of the existing facilities at Oil Movement and Storage section,
• Coordinating with intra departments to keep storage vessels , pumps, and instruments in order,
• Generating and updating ISO 14001, 9001, & 18001 Documents and operating Procedures.
• Training guiding and assigning jobs to operators,
• Monitoring and guiding unit start-up/commissioning activities, keeping the safety procedures in mind,
• Coordination with maintenance department for timely completion of jobs during shifts,
• Monitoring process unit operating condition for their smooth operation,
• Reporting unit status to Director (Operations) and General Manager (Production),
• Achieving the production target set by Management,
• Responsible for safe shut down and start up of process units for Annual planned turnarounds,
• Ensuring safe, smooth and efficient operation of equipment like furnaces, pumps and compressors,
• Optimizing chemical consumption
• Trouble shooting of operating problems,
• Initiating and follow up of maintenance activities,
• Emergency handling. (Handled emergencies due to failure of steam, feed, feed pumps and due to fire.)
