9 years experience in the logistics department in the South African Navy with expertise in the following: Supervision, Organisation, Training, Maintenance, Safety, Stock-Taking, Inventory Management, Equipment Verification, Auditing, Equipment Ordering, Receiving, Issuing and Dispatching.
Two years experience as a Materials man onboard a semi-submersible drilling-rig, Pride South Seas with expertise in the following: Receiving, verification and organization of drilling equipment within the warehouse, manifesting drilling, dangerous and service company equipment ashore, stock taking and stock verification, posting of issued items on computerized system (TAG), operating Chemwatch MSDS System, maintaining certification records for lifting appliances, completing monthly reports for Rig supervisors, cleanliness and tidiness of warehouse. I am presently employed, as a Materials man, since June 2007, onboard a semi-submersible drilling rig, the Bulford Dolphin, operating in Nigeria. Responsibilities are for the inventory control, receiving/issuing and generating of materials and purchase requisitions of drilling equipment on the computerized system (TAG). Supervision and the successful operations of supply vessels receiving or dispatchment of drilling equipment to the base. I can work well under pressure and can adapt to any changes in the logistics field.
