National Grid South Wales Expansion Project – Modifications to Churchover & Wormington Gas Compressor Stations and a New Build gas compression plant in Wales - ~ £100m
• Co-ordination of multi discipline engineering activities to ensure design intent is achieved on all 3 projects which form the South Wales Expansion Project.
• Propose and execute remedial actions for all identified problem areas associated with technical scope and schedule slippage.
• Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities are understood and adhered to.
• Responsible for the Change management system. Ensure EWN's are raised and processed at the correct stage for any changes in the work scope.
• Ensure engineering activities align with level 3 programme.
• Chair and facilitate engineering co-ordination and PDMS model review meetings.
• Managing the benchmark of a site access strategy implemented for the first time on an NG project.
2004 – 2005 AMEC Group Ltd
BBL Pipeline Project – Bacton Reception Facilities - £26m
• Mechanical Engineer on EPC project to the value of £40 Million, for the design and construction of reception facilities for a 36” Pipeline from Holland to Bacton, UK to import natural gas.
• Responsible for procurement, technical bid evaluations and vendor approvals for the supply of the mechanical equipment.
• Responsible for the project overall design integrity, to enable a flawless plant start up.
• Involved with sub contractor approvals and tender submissions as well as managing the Vendor Interface system.
