current position: finance manager
duties & responsibilities:
* plan, organize, direct and supervise all financial activities according to the directions of the General Manager and in compliance to edison financial requirements and procedures. coordinating with:

milan hq central departments (planning & control, joint ventures, accountancy, treasury, tax, legal),
egypt branch functions (exploration, drilling; administration, hr, contracts, , etc.).
Ensure the following:
-proper and timely accomplishment of all activities of the department
-planning & Control Activities,
-accountancy (ensuring consistency between branch and HQ),
-treasury Management,
-financial Statements along with external auditors’ certifications
-joint Interest Billing Statements to JV partners,
-financial Reports to EGPC, EGAS and Egyptian Authorities,
-tax Returns and Tax Credit Documentation (corporate and for expatriates),
-any other obligation vis-à-vis, Egyptian Authorities, mother-company, governmental Partners, JV Partners and any other third party.

*professional advice and the necessary assistance to the GM and to any department and Function Manager,

*tax optimization and maximization of recoverability of costs reported to local state company,
*effective cooperation with hq functions, local authorities, jv partners, banks, suppliers and consultants
quality control of all activities delegated to his or her subordinates,
commitment and a good and effective team working environment in the Department and ensure a cooperative attitude among subordinates and vis-à-vis other departments,
*training of local subordinates in order to ensure the required professional growth. Such training shall consist of both on job training and courses, to be planned and budgeted in coordination with the HR function and approved by the general manager,
*performance evaluation of local subordinates to be reported the GM and the hr function for their professional evolution and career/salary progress.
