Crisis Management , Emergency Response and Business Continuity Planning Manager

To employ my wide-ranging professional expertise in a more challenging and high-profile Oil & Gas Exploration & Production project, whereby Emergency Response, Crisis Management and Business Continuity matters are considered a top priority.

I have worked for BP for the past 11 years. First 15 months of my career I served in the Security Department as the Relief Supervisor and my role was to ensure an adequate security cover for our facilities in Baku. After that I moved to the HSE Department as the Emergency Response Officer where I was responsible for developing and maintaining the contingency plans for the Azerbaijan BU as well as providing the training and conducting exercises for the Crisis Management & Emergency Response (CM&ER) Organisation. In 2001 I have been seconded to the Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) – Tier 3 provider based in Southampton, UK. After spending a year with OSRL I moved to the Sunbury Regional Crisis Centre where I have been involved in different projects one of them which was setting up a CM&ER system for a newly established TNK-BP in Moscow, Russia. The final part of my development program was an assignment to the Alaska BU where I had a chance to observe the Trans Alyeska Pipeline System (TAPS) stretching 800 miles across the Alaskan tundra. TAPS has many similarities to Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline and this opportunity in Alaska exposed me to many skills that I am currently able to use in the Azerbaijan BU. From mid 2004 I was the Crisis and Emergency Preparedness Manager for the Azerbaijan BU. The 8 years experience in Crisis Management helped me a lot in fulfilling my current role of HSE Manager for Offshore Operations from the beginning of 2006.
