Responsible for monitoring all HES activities of contractor personnel engaged in the construction of a Crude Processing Facility (CPF) on behalf of Occidental Oil Co. Along with routine monitoring duties I was tasked to produce and conduct training programmes both for contractor personnel and Occidental Staff. I was also deeply involved in the development of HES Procedures.

I am self-motivated, conscientious and hard-working, the ability to work both independently and as a co-operative team member. Past achievements include the introduction and implementation of a training programme for Saudi Undergraduates joining a seismic company as trainee engineers and operators. The training consists of both on the job training and HESS Awareness. This programme allowed the integration of the trainees to run smoother and the retention rate improved.

During my present assignment representing Occidental in monitoring a local Yemeni construction company’s HES performance I have instigated training programmes and improved HES performance. I have been associated with the project from the start of excavation and have recorded no major incidents and have logged over 1million man-hours without a Lost Time Incident. I am familiar with the work culture exhibited within the Yemen workforce and have generated an understanding and appreciation of HES policies. This has resulted in a vastly improved “Safety Culture” which is being maintained by the local HES Representatives.
