Audit of Operating Companies on behalf of National Oil corporation of Libya

Audit

• Audit of activities of major Joint Venture Operating Companies between National Oil Corporation of Libya and an international Oil & Gas major for Oil Development .
• Ensure full compliance of the Operator to the Addendum Agreement to EPSA/DPSA, other relevant agreements and accounting procedures.
• Review of Operator’s Financial System and Procedures and make recommendation in cases of any drawbacks and limitations.
• Verification of all charges and credits to NOC to ensure that they are based on the ownership percentages specified in the Addendum Agreement.
• Review of the Joint Interest Billing Statement and reconcile to the SUN system General Ledger and Cash Calls.
• Review of the existing internal controls, to ensure that they are sufficiently robust to support a multibillion dollars business operation
• Annual Development and operational costs was in the region of US$ 200 Million to 360 Million.
• Other responsibilities include auditing of other EPSA operating international oil majors, with exploration expenditure to date of $227 million
• Training and supervision of Audit trainees ( Libyans )
• Correct Valuation of Oil.
• Checking Oil Production, Correct allocation of Oil share to NOC and 2nd Party.

• Internal & External Auditing,
• Cash flow forecast Budget
• Profit & Loss Accounts and Balance Sheet,
• Management Accounts,
• Maintaining Fixed Asset Register,
• Year end procedures, supervision of 3-7 members of staff.
• Management reporting to Managers, Weekly/Monthly
• reporting to Head office/Directors/Owners.
