Duties: Responsible for the design of instrument wring systems, calculations, specifications, loop sheets, P&ID’s, MTO, etc. Preparation of design and maintenance manuals, loop studies for both pneumatic and electronic instrumentation involving process control DCS and ESD systems necessary to upgrade two gas treatment plants. Covering a wide variety of instrumentation from local loops to control systems.
Design work associated with the expansion project of a chemical plant: Preparation of specifications, control valve and orifice plate calculations, selection of materials, preparation of loop sheets, index sheets, material take off and vendor selection. Co-ordination between instruments, piping, electrical and process groups. Scheduling work, checking drawings and supervision of instruments.

Other Projects Undertaken
i) Title: General Purpose Micro-Controller based system
Description: This is a general purpose interfacing system. It has got two input and two output digital and analog channels (8 channels). The minimum and maximum value of each of the transducer and final control element should be given as input. This micro-controller based system is connected to the PC through RS-232 port. Predefined application software is written in VB. This project was done for a textile industry based on their requirement. This is my first trying for creating a PLC.
ii) Title: Process Controller for Textile Mill based PLC (own made)
Description: This controller is used to monitor the continuity of thread and temperature of the sweab and speed of the cloth coil motor and number of the stork also counted. Based on the above parameters on the mill, automatically the system shows the details on the system.
