I modeled and detected an abnormal pressure zone of an exploratory well which could have caused a severe kick that might have lead to a severe blowout; I also mitigate solutions to control the kick.
Constructed a Geo-mechanical model for a difficult ERD well including stability prediction, optimal mud program and casing design.
Participated in a RCA (Root Cause Analysis) team to investigate the causes of a loss of primary well control. Our findings directly led to substantial modifications to the drilling program which allowed for the subsequent successful re-drill.
Determined presence of a two-way subsurface water flow zone and subsequently implemented a process to mitigate said flow.
