Report to Project Director any unsafe conditions or defects in plant or equipment.
Read, understand and implement the site specific safety procedures prescribed by the Main Contractor.
Effective implementation of all safety rules and regulations in the Company
Brief all site staff about safety requirements and project specific quality manual.
Ensure that sub-contractors operate in a safe manner and comply with the project safety policy.
Liaise with Main contractor¡¥s safety manager regarding safe work environment required at site.
Liaise with Government bodies, hospitals and main contractor for effectively attending to emergencies at site.
Ensure that safety induction and tool box talks are carried out.
Carry out regular and random inspection on the site and record results.
Compile and record safety statistics.
Maintain the necessary safety related records.
Develop and implement safe systems of work for the project in conjunction with the Project Director/Construction ¡Vin-charges
Ensure risk assessments have been carried out for work activities.
Ensure the use and wearing of protective clothing and safety equipment provided.
Ensure the use of the correct tools and equipment for the job.
Report any injuries resulting from work activities.
Investigation into Site accidents and analysis of the causes and associated preventive actions.
Ensure the maintenance of a high standard of housekeeping at all times
Assigning work to the workforce and to be present at worksite, hence interacting and supervising the jobs
Educating the workers and ensuring that tools, machinery and other equipment are in proper working order, and are well arranged
Carrying out HSE (Health Safety Environment) audits/inspections .
Providing Training to upgrade safety related knowledge of the staff
Performing risk assessments of each area of company activity and making recommendation on actions to be taken to reduce risks.
