JOB DESCRIPTION (POL) 2003 - 2008
•To plan and source Machinery, equipment, materials, specialised vehicles, accessories, spares, chemicals and consumables for foreign & local procurement according to required standards and specifications.
•To prepare (putting Commercial terms & conditions) Bids, Tender Documents & Contracts.
•To call quotations, bids, tenders.
•To commercially analyse, evaluate, recommend, negotiate and obtain internal/external approvals.
•Managing Transhipments/Custom Clearance keeping close contacts with the
•Arranging release of Indemnity Bonds from Customs Authorities through Regulatory Authorities.
•Maintaining approved Vendors list, periodic review, and induction of new vendors.
•Planning of logistics for air and ocean shipments worldwide coming in and shipping out of Pakistan.
•Ensuring timely clearance through ocean/air customs for onward despatch via overland transportation large volumes & tonnage of material.
•Sales/Purchase of material to & from Joint venture partners & to other oil exploration & production, drilling & service companies.
JOB DESCRIPTION (Emirates International Airline) Oct-2008 - Till to date
•To initiate planning action ensuring effective support of materials for operations at agreed levels, thereby ensuring timely completion of maintenance inputs.
•To support data control, keeping in mind the company OEM policy, (original engineering manufacturer) toward maintaining and purchasing only approved spares. Controlling vendor / supplier and data control standards in accordance with the OEM philosophy, thus maintaining the inventory to an approved standard.
•Frequent liaison with external suppliers and representatives, technical and non technical, in the pursuit of optimising the inventory. Regular reviews of the inventory, component failure rate analysis and supplier performance. Liaison with the warranty group to explore / establish appropriate warranty remedies
•To ensure the long and short term planning requirements of materials in conjunction with the maintenance plans, scheduled and unscheduled.
