WORK EXPERIENCE:
2007 – 2008
Club Rain.
Position: Owner.
Main Responsibilities: All aspects of Staff control & management, 9 permanent & 7 casuals. Marketing & Advertising of the business. Co-ordinating events & promotions. Stock orders & control. Accounting, controlling cash flow, cash ups, banking, Uif, taxes & VAT returns. Liaising with all suppliers i.e. Brand House, Distell, Coca Cola, Red Bull, Robberg Foods, just to name a few.
Reason for leaving: I sold the business on the 18th of September 2008.

2004 – 2008

Position: Owner & Franchisor.
Main Responsibilities: All aspects of Staff control & management, 20 permanent & 11 casuals. Marketing & Advertising of the brand. Brand Franchising, successfully Franchised the brand and established 6 new stores and the re-sale of 3 going concerns. Stock orders & control. Accounting, controlling cash flow, cash ups, banking, Uif, taxes & VAT returns. Laising with all suppliers i.e. Ster Kinekor, Nu Metro, EA Games, Sony, Next Video, Megarom, just to name a few.
Reason for leaving: I sold the Franchise in June of 2008.

Position: New Vehicle Sales Executive Audi Centre Cape Town.
Main Responsibilities: Establishing new business, servicing fleets and achieving monthly sales targets. Maintaining an average higher than 88% for customer service. During my time at Barloworld I became a member of the “Achievers Club” in recognition of my sales figures and was 3rd in terms of national sales when I resigned in January of 2004 in order to pursue my business ambitions.

You will note from my resume that I thrive on working within a challenging discipline hands-on environment. I work well in a team and have always had a passion for my trade and a seagoing career. I understand that success within a physical and demanding industry would entirely depend on the selection process.

I am more than willing to undertake any maritime safety course necessary, as may be required by my new employer.
