Research on Well Stimulation Project ¡§Failure Potential Analysis around a Hydraulic Fracture in Jointed Rocks¡¨. Supported by Crisman Institute for Petroleum Research.
A model is set up to provide a useful tool for investigating injection-induced seismicity and reservoir permeability enhancement in stimulation operations.

Academic Projects:
Ć Production Engineering: Developed a code in Visual Basic for Applications to determine skin factor resulting from matrix acidizing
Ć Petroleum Reservoir Engineering: Developed a VBA Program in Excel for forecasting oil and gas production from a reservoir using material balance concepts and equations, a unique set of fluid properties and relative permeability curves and a set of production rules


Graduate Research Assistant in Department of Geological Engineering, University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, North Dakota (Jan.2006-Aug.2007):
Research on ¡§Hydraulic fracturing¡¨. Supported by Department of Energy.
Develop a numerical algorithm to study and predict the propagation of the fracture. Applications include improving Hydraulic Fracturing Technique to enhance the recovery of hydrocarbons.


Research Staff in Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, Beijing, China(Sep.2004-Dec.2005):
About 2 years of research work on Tibetan Plateau.
Take part in Research on Geothermal Reservoir, hot springs, and salt lakes, with big contributions to finding some big potash and lithium carbonate deposits. Work with a research group and a drilling team in Tibetan Plateau and be familiar with the working conditions in atrocious weather and severe environment
