Daily activities

Normal day-
Monitoring of Units to find out of any problems and any inspection requests.
Mechanical repairs follow up and if repairs are done per inspection recommendation or procedures- also the documentation of the repairs - QC
Updating of the equipment files.
The assistance of planning and engineering with the ordering of materials and/or equipment that area schedule for replacement.
The coordinating of NDE crew for online monitoring of critical piping and equipment through out one’s Unit. U-Pipe program updating and work orders for repairs issuing per SAP
Assisting Junior inspectors in there activities and helping out other inspectors.
Also QA for projects work done by contractors- following up with there QC.

During Turnaround /Outage
Inspecting of equipment that is opened for inspection, cleaning or/and repairs.
Following up on procedures and repairs.
Coordinating of the NDE crew
Documentation of inspections in equipment files and the holding of a log system.
Assisting mechanical supervision in the field. 50 to 70% of the time spent.

Documenting pre shutdown equipment inspections so that this does not need to be opened during the T/A.
Assistance to planning with the Turnaround scope and any additional information that is required.
Coordinating projects- U-pipe - for online monitoring of the piping with RBI.

Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access as well as an excellent knowledge of U-Pipe, SAP, Maximo and at this time PCMS. Access is employed to track and schedule required inspections, such as internals and externals, required repairs (Inspection Work Requests), and record findings. Tracking equipment thicknesses, determining corrosion rates, and scheduling required NDT examinations are the primary uses U-Pipe.
