Synopsis of relevant experience:
•I am well-spoken professional candidate with an honours degree in B Sc. I have more than 16 years experience in Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and Project Management Systems at senior management level. My experience and skills include: implementation of Integrated Safety, Health, Environment and Quality management and employee wellness systems, conducting SHERQ audits and writing SHERQ reports, implementation and management of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Integrated NOSA 5 STAR, Risk Financing, Organisational Behavioural Management System (BBS), occupational diseases and injuries and risk management.

•I have implemented business process mapping systems, identification of business related challenges and their control measures, business aspects and impacts and their control measures as the building blocks towards a holistic risk management process. He has chaired various SHERQ steering team committees that were instrumental in coming up with SHERQ strategic business plans. I was instrumental in streamlining SHERQ accident/incident/customer complaints/customer feedback investigation and reporting using the causal tree methods in making sure that the real causes, lack of control measures and permanent fixes were looked at in a logical sequence and not using the “blame the person” syndrome.

• I was in the course of my career responsible for SHERQ services strategic planning, drawing up and management of the Group and Divisional SHERQ budget, staff management, leadership development and training, development of SHERQ strategic plan, liaising with customers, clients, suppliers, subcontractors and applicable and relevant governmental departments, NGO`s and communities around company operations, development and management of SHERQ lagging and leading indicators and compiling monthly, quarterly and yearly group and Divisional SHERQ performance reviews.

I am currently employed by Fluor SA (Pty) Ltd (FSA) as the Senior HSE Manager Projects tasked with the role of HSE Lead for Sasol Petrochemical Plant Secunda Growth Program Projects under Fluor EC to ensure with compliance with client HSE requirements and implementation of HSE best practices in the petrochemical industry EPCM environment.
