I graduated with B.Sc. hon. Degree in geology, geophysics, mathematics and physical geography (hydrology) from the Uppsala University, Sweden in 1971.In addition; I obtained my doctoral degree (Ph.D. equivalent) in mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry from the Vrije University in Amsterdam, Holland in 1974. I have also conducted geochemical research studies in Greece (Naxos) and geological fieldwork in Kenya and short courses in geostatistics at the Luleå University, Sweden.

I have also been trained in gravity and magnetic methods at the Swedish Geological Survey (SGU), geophysical department, Uppsala. Seismic interpretation and electrical methods was conducted at the Luleå University. In addition, I have conducted electromagnetic surveys and interpretation.
