Oct 2004 – present
POSITION: Geophysical Manager
LOCATION: Oslo, Norway

I joined RXT at the startup of its first OBC operation. Spent the first year onboard setting up the QC group. End of 2005 I moved onshore as head of Geophysical/QC Dept.

Direct responsibilities:
- QC processing on all crews (approx. 40 personnel) including recruitment, appraisals & promotions
- marketing presentations and client workshops
- tenders & start-up meetings
- geophysics training
- QC/QA manual
- purchase/development of software & hardware

Other responsibilities
- OBC survey design
- Technical Project Manager: 3D4C and 2D4C
- development of VSO recording system


PETROLEUM GEO SERVICES (PGS)

2003 – 2004
POSITION: Area Geophysicist
LOCATION: Almaty, Kazakhstan

Area Geophysicist for the remote processing center in Almaty. Processed 1000 sq.km. (including PSTM) in situ with the Kalamkas survey. Included refraction statics applied to towed streamer data in 6m shallow water.

I conducted a pilot study researching refraction statics vs. tomostatics.

Some land processing with refraction statics across marsh and hilly terrain. Included uphole data, phase matching of sources.

2001 – 2003
POSITION: Processing Manager
LOCATION: Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.

Manager of 10 geophysicists. The office initially supported the OBC crew acquiring the Zakum survey offshore Abu Dhabi.

Direct responsibilities included client communication, geophysical integrity, QA, project scheduling, forecasting of resources. Further responsibilities included office finances & monthly forecasts, submission and collection of invoices, office HSE.

Completed several large land and TZ processing contracts from ADCO, including Rumaitha & Al Dhabb’iya 3D surveys. Included sand dune statics (with upholes), phase matching of sources & sensors.

Processed 3D surveys from Dubai and Oman-based oil companies.

Marine seismic processing department.
Processed surveys from North Sea and offshore Angola.
