May-July 2009: Workshop practice at Moi University School of Engineering.
Visited various industries and learnt about the various processes involved in production.
Worked extensively in the machine shop and the motor vehicle room and learnt the various operations in these workshops.
May-July 2010: Industrial attachment at Rivatex East Africa Ltd.
I was attached in the maintenance and production department and was involved in:
Engineering maintenance, planning and work scheduling.
Troubleshooting and repair of faulty machines and machine components.
Workshop operations – lathe machining, milling, welding, grinding, drilling and metal cutting.
Proposed a mechanism for drying of yarn, use of a yarn drying machine.
May-July 2011: Industrial attachment at Eldoret Farm Machinery and Engineering.

SKILLS ACQUIRED THROUGH VARIOUS INTERACTIONS AND INITIATIVES.
Computer skills: Computer packages done as part of my degree curriculum, Computer networking; intermediate level, Computer Software and Hardware maintenance (installation of software, virus identification and troubleshooting for hardware problems).
Engineering Design and fabrication – I have done to completion a detailed design project in my 5th year of study (complete with detailed AutoCAD drawings and design calculations). I have also been involved in various engineering projects during my internships.
Communication skills, Team work, mentorship and team motivation: Acquired during various events I have been involved in, organized and run in the Technology Students Association and is SIFE-Moi University.
