40 years of experience in all aspects of the upstream petroleum sector. Retired as Chief Operating Officer Spud Energy Pty Limited (September 2008 to May 2013). Managed exploration and development portfolio. Actively involved in 3 new gas discoveries. Evaluated new opportunities and acquired new assets.
From March 2001- September 2008 served as Director Technical / Member Board Of Directors of Government Holdings Private Limited (a state-owned oil and gas E&P company). Managed over 60 upstream joint ventures totaling approximately 43,000 BOE in daily production with an annual investment budget of $ 50-100 million. Was associated with development of Zamzama (2.3 TCF) and Sawan (1.5 TCF) gas fields.
Prior to Government Holdings, served as Chief Geophysicist Saudi Arabia Schlumberger. Was assigned to and worked for Saudi ARAMCO, Dhahran from November 1997 to Feburary 2001.
From 1971-1997 served Oil & Gas Development Corporation Pakistan in various positions. Last position was General Manager Geological & Geophysical Services, heading 7 operational departments. Before that served as Manager Exploration and Manager Exploitation & Reservoir Engineering.
Associated with OGDC discoveries between 1981-1997 either as a prospect generator, a team leader or as Exploration Manager. Discoveries (Reserves) included Dakhni (12 million bbls, 352 BCF), Qadirpur (5 TCF), Tando Alam (23 million bbls, 8 BCF), Pashaki (32 million bbls, 9 BCF), Kunnar (25 milion bbls, 7 BCF), Loti (316 CF), Missa Keswal (10.5 million bbls, 29 BCF), Bobi, Rajian, and several others. Recommended drilling of Chanda and Gurguri prospects in 1997-98 fiscal year. Chanda was drilled in 1999 while Gurguri was drilled in 2001-02 as Manzalai.
Several publications in international technical journals. Received B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. in Geology (Specialization Geophysics) from Punjab University, Lahore. Trained in Canada for about one year in geological and seismic interpretation. Active member of AAPG, SPE & SEG.

He has a thorough knowledge and experience of oil & gas industry starting from exploration, development, production and corporate matters.
Agha was incharge of prospect generation teams at that time. He is a man of principle, a super administrator, who can take difficult and even unpopular but right decisions. He has the courage to stand against a mob. He is not only a good manager but a true leader. He has a broad technical vision, and always encourages the young ones to learn and work hard.
