The role of Material coordinator gave me a chance in the FPSO industry as a Material coordinator for FPSO Armada Sterling from Construction stage. My scope of work was to set up a Material department from scratch under the guidance of Offshore Installation Manager. During the conversion stage I was responsible of receiving all new materials such as spares and consumables for the FPSO, set up bin locations and documentation and setup stores on different locations onboard and to assure the material and equipment delivered as according to PO, DO and Material Requisition. A material listing was set up as an inventory for easy tracking. The completed data was then transferred to the CMMS material modules.
