Chemical Engineer graduated in 1993, Gauhati University, India and has more than 21 years of diverse experience in the field of Petrochemicals, Refinery and energy operations viz Sustainable Development, CDM, Production performance improvement and monitoring, safety, six sigma, capex review, management of large scale petrochemical projects involving pre-project activities, erection, commissioning, startup activities.
Major part of career with Reliance Industries Limited, India (RIL) before he moved to Qatar Petroleum.
Professional expertise:
Prepare the health, safety, sustainable development and environment (HSSE) project strategies for the Qatar Energy and Industry Sector with respect to economic growth, social development and environmental protection.
Develop the formulation and implementation of world class HSSE policies and strategies that will assist in promoting sustainable development (SD) effectively of oil, gas, power, and energy industry in the State.
Develop Sustainability performance indicators guidelines for the Energy and Industry sector. Establish Monitoring- Reporting- Verification system development and setup involving statistics and data processing, evaluation, research and projecting outcomes
Evaluate benchmarking studies of sustainable development activities of Qatar with other countries and international SD and Climate Change bodies to obtain best practices, new initiatives, and sustainable development standardization.
