Well Services Petroleum Company Ltd 2013 – Present Electrical Technician:
Responsible for troubleshooting and Maintenance of industrial motors, compressors and control systems
Reading of electrical schematics and line diagrams to troubleshoot circuits and equipment
Responsible for working with high voltage systems (480V-575V)
Responsible for selecting correct size starters and contactors for control circuits
Responsible for troubleshooting generators and electrical equipment on the rig
Responsible for making voltage, resistance and amperage tests using megger meters and voltage testers
Inspecting motors for bearing noises and heat, de-assembling and replacing bearings, couplings if necessary
Responsible for knowing the operating parameters of electrical equipment
Responsible for maintaining the rig and ensuring all equipment is functional and to safety standards including proper grounding of equipment
Responsible for ordering parts and spares for electrical equipment on the rig
Responsible for completing work-orders for electrical equipment on the rig
Responsible for addressing co-workers and office staff problems with electrical equipment including (lathes, vertical and horizontal boring machines, pressing machines, welding plants and lighting system) inside the company’s workshop
Responsible for adhering to the company’s and clients on the rig site strict health and safety regulations and hazardous location policies

MDC services: contracted to Tracmac Engineering Ltd 2012 – 2013 Mechanical and Electrical Technician:
Servicing and repairs to both mechanical and electrical heavy equipment including (generators, backhoes, excavators, boomlifts, forklifts, lighting towers)
Responsible for ordering own parts and spares for equipment using parts lists and manuals
Liaising with customers about equipment operation and addressing any concerns
Making site visits to address customers concern and equipment failure
Responsible for writing of task risk assessment and JSA’s prior to performing task
