* Drilled 05 nos. Exploratory wells meeting & negating operational challenges: gumbo shales/shaker blinding, drilling break & its reverse, pack-offs, highly vibrational & abrasive environment, twist off/washout, stuck-up, fishing, sidetracks, severe mud foaming, pressure surge/decline, solids control equipment malfunction, ballooning, severe mud losses, MWD failure, well trajectory, short landing of casing, stage cementation, re-perforations, squeeze cementing, plug & abandonment (P&A) etc.


Directional Driller, Halliburton, Mumbai: April 2019 – August 2022
*Drilled ~30 nos. long radius wells: S, J & L profiles, High angle, Horizontal wells, Open Hole/Cased Hole Sidetracks and Whipstock Jobs for: ONGC (Mumbai High offshore), Cairn Vedanta (Barmer) and OIL (Duliajan) keeping trajectory well-within Driller’s Target.

Worked as a Trainee AD (roustabout/ floorhand) for initial 6 months & then AD on a 750 HP rig; model ZJ 30 for client OIL, Duliajan.
Versed in specific workover jobs: Simple production string/ GLVs & packer completion, Through Tubing perforations (TTP), Well Activation (Nitrogen/Air applications), well killing/subdue, sucker rods (SRP) installation, packer setting/milling, fishing etc.

• Over 8+ years’ experience in Oil & Gas Upstream across Drilling & Workover rig; with 3+ years offshore operations in Jack-up Rig.
• Presently working with OIL as Drilling Supervisor of 2000 HP AC-SCR Rig; model ZJ70 in exploratory drilling.
• Previously worked as a Directional driller (4+ years) with Halliburton & Udipta and Assistant Driller (2+ years) in initial days.
• Worked in Truck Mounted Rigs, Primitive Kelly Rigs to New Gen Amphion Integrated Driller’s Control System.
• Vertical, Directional & Horizontal wells including Pilot holes /drain holes experience in offshore Bombay High (West Coast) & Land Operations in Assam (North-East), Rajasthan (West) & Odisha (East).
• Drilled wells ranging from shallow depth ~1300 m (2CPX5M) to deeper depths ~6000m (4CPX10M).
• Experience of Drilling/Sliding in renowned complicated Geleki Formations of Sivasagar Assam (Northeast India).
• Sidetracked wells successfully with bend angles as low as 1.15 to as high as 1.83 degrees with acceptable dog-legs.
• Worked in conditions pertaining to Low Mud Losses to Toal Losses where finally blind drilling with seawater was deployed.
• Adept in both BHA & Bit Selection (TCR/PDC) as per hole size and formations and Hydraulics optimization (par with TFA).
• Worked with all kinds of Mud System: SOBM, KCL/K2S04, NDDF, Seawater. Commanding Knowledge of Mud Rheology (par with Model) & Hydraulics for efficient cuttings removal and ability to assess and verify Mud Parameters.
