His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah headed at Sief Palace on Thursday the tenth ministerial committee meeting aimed at discussing the country's development plan. Minister of Commerce and Industry and State Minister for Development Affairs Dr. Amani Bouresly said that the committee discussed industrial projects included in the four-year development plan (2010-2014) and means to shorten the period required to obtain industrial lands for these projects.
She added that the meeting discussed the latest developments of an in-depth study on the public needs of skilled labour, to be conducted in a period of no less than one year from the date of budget planning and taking into account the plan and changes on the regional as well as international scales. Bringing the deadline closer on the completion of the state Opera House project was an issue postponed to the next meeting. HH the prime minister had urged companies and institutions involved to hasten the completion of the projects, she noted.
