US President Barack Obama plans to accelerate US aid program to Egypt, which is witnessing a critical stage in its transition to democracy, a source at the US State Department said.
Undersecretary of the State Department Robert Hormats said, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, that the US should be supporting Egypt as far as possible given its important status. |
