Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker of the UAE Federal National Council (FNC) met Algerian National Council (Majlis al-Ummah) Speaker Abdelgadir bin Saleh at the sideline of the 18th Arab Parliamentary Union Conference, which commenced here today. The two sides discussed ways to boost the cooperation ties between the two parliaments, especially in the areas of legislation, control, research and political participation. Saleh congratulated Al Murr on the convention of the 15 legislative chapter of the FNC and his election as a Speaker, wishing him and the FNC members success in the parliamentary work. For his part, Al Murr stressed the depth of bilateral ties between the two countries and peoples in all fields.
Meanwhile, Al Murr met the Moroccan Speaker Abdelkarim Ghalab. The two Speakers exchanged views on cooperation and coordination between the two parliaments. Al Murr briefed the Moroccan Speaker on the work mechanism of the FNC. The both side reiterated their resolve to bolster the ties between the two countries, especially the parliamentary relations. For his part, the Moroccan Parliament Speaker stressed the fraternal and friendship ties between the UAE and Morocco.
