German Ready to Fund Solar, Wind Energy with €211 bn

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Fayza Abul-Naga said on 11/3/2012 that the German government will support Kom Ombo project with a 50-million-Euro support loan and another 62 million Euros for the wind farm project. she added they are ready to fund the Kom Ombo solar power project and the wind farm project in the Gulf of Suez.

The governments of Egypt and Germany will sign the agreements during the coming period, added Abul-Naga. She added that the project of Kom Ombo solar energy aims to provide 100 megawatts of capabilities of the national electric network and increase the contribution of solar energy in Egypt to provide clean electricity.
