President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received today in Al Ain, Emir of Qatar HH Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani. The meeting at the Al-Jesyoorah Rest house was held in the presence of President's Representative HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Ruler's Representative in the Western Region HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During the meeting, they reviewed the fraternal ties between UAE and Qatar and the ways to strengthen the relations in various fields for the welfare of the peoples. They also discussed the joint march of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
The two leaders also held cordial talks and exchanged views on a number of current issues on the regional and global levels and appraised the stance of both countries towards them. The meeting was attended by HH Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region, HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, a number of other Sheikhs, senior officials and Qatari Ambassador to UAE Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Othman. The Emir of Qatar was accompanied by a delegation consisting of senior state officials.
