Minister of Transport Galal Moustafa El-Saeed said on 15/03/2012 that the Cabinet has agreed in principle on the movement of Turkish exports through Egyptian ports. In press statements, the Minister said that transit fees on Turkish shipments were also determined. He added that the Egyptian and Turkish governments started talks on the operation of a navigation line between Egyptian and Turkish ports.
Contract to manufacture 3 subway cars signed
Minister of Transport Galal El-Saeed attended the signing ceremony of a contract to manufacture three new subway cars for the first line of the underground Metro in Greater Cairo. The contract worth EGP 27 million was inked by head of the National Authority for Tunnels Atta el-Sherbeiny, Head of the Egyptian Company for Metro Management and Operation Ali Hussein and chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization Hamdy Weheba as well as the chairman of Japan's Mitsubishi Company. The ceremony was attended by Japanese Ambassador in Cairo Norihiro Okuda.
