Dr.Kamal Al-Ganzoury Received Klaus Holm

Prime Minister, Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzoury, received Klaus Holm Chief Executive Officer of Maersk the container shipping company and members of the board. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Transport and Board Chairman of Port-Said Container Terminal.

The Minister of Transport stated that the meeting tackled several significant issues related to mega investments of the company in East Port-Said Port. Maersk considers as a main partner in Port-Said Container Terminal as total investments reach EGP 3 billion, and the first and second phases were initiated with capacity of 6 million containers. He added that Port-Said Port considers as a significant launch for the global container trading and trade in the Mediterranean and West Asia, stating that the second phase of the container terminal was completed with capacity 3 million containers annually.

Holm confirmed the company's continues investment in Egypt to be increased over the coming period, stressing the important of making navigational cannel that would contribute in increasing East Port-Said Port efficiency. The company expressed readiness to contribute in costs with the Egyptian government, as the total amount of the project reach EGP 500 million.
