Growth of Small and Medium Industries in Egypt

Said Walter Hirsch, former Minister of Economy, Labour and Transport of Saxony state of Germany, that Egypt has great opportunities for the growth of small and medium industries, as well as energy, tourism, and pointed out that care must be taken in the field of research and development, especially that these sectors provide significant employment opportunities, and is the force driving the economy.

He added that the sector of small and medium industries in Germany is based on growth and innovation and the development of talent and creative abilities of the institutions, through job training or training schools through collaboration between the various ministries concerned.

Michel Bock, the German ambassador in Egypt, assure that SMEs play a strategic role for economic development of any country in the world, including Germany, which are considered as small and medium enterprises as the backbone of the economy, both for the industrial sector or the service, drawing attention to the willingness of Germany to provide its expertise regarding the experience of small and medium enterprises with Egypt, where the German experts to provide advice during the conference, with respect to aspects of supporting and encouraging small and medium enterprises.
