After years of suspension, a L.E. 600 million project was endorsed to produce beat sugar in Al Reswa Zone to the South of Port Said. This was announced by Ms. Fayza Abu El Naga, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, in a press conference indicating that the project will have an annual design capacity to produce 400,000 tons of beat sugar and to generate 2,000 direct employment opportunities.
