Eng. Mohammad Reda Ismail, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, declared that it was agreed between Egypt and the UAE to establish three mega-projects in Egypt with investments of UAE up to $ 3 billion. During a press conference held on Sunday, the minister pointed out that among the projects reclaiming 100 thousand acres in the second branch of “ Toshka” over 5 years by 20 thousand acres per year, pointing out that this project will be implemented by "Al Thaherah" UAE company.
The minister pointed out that the project is to create the second largest poultry farm for the production of chicken mothers and ancestors free of the virus, as well as the establishment of industrial plant for the scaling of the poultry.
He added that the third project is to create a larger project for buffalo breeding in the Middle East, a partnership Egypt - UAE, explaining that he had been allocated 10 thousand acres for the project in the center of the mountain at “Minya” governorate. The Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation said that there is a UAE project will be operated, to create a horse farm on an area of 5 thousand acres in 6th of October City investments amounting to 600 thousand dollars, noting that this project has been agreed upon for years and stopped and it is activated now.
