EGP 400m Loan from France to Renovate Power Network

Minister of Electricity and Energy Eng. Mahmoud Balbaa said that a plan was prepared to implement a comprehensive program for the rehabilitation and renovation of the national network for the transmission of electricity from production plants to loads centers, while increasing its length by nearly 400 kilometers to cover new urban communities through a loan extended by the French Development Agency of nearly EGP 400 million. The Minister noted that the loan comes within the framework of the French-Egyptian cooperation to finance power projects. He pointed out that the national power grid will see a significant improvement in the coming days.
