Eng Hassan Malek, the head of the businessmen team accompanying the president said during a dinner banquet hosted in honor of the Egyptian businessman that Egypt is seeking to increase Chinese investments from 500 million dollars to 3 billion dollars. On his part, Hatem Saleh, the Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade said Egypt aims to sign 8 agreements with China. Minister of investment Ossama Saleh said a number of investment opportunities will be offered to the Chinese side in the fields of building, reconstruction, agriculture, infrastructure, tourism and solid waste processing.
Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr, Investment Minister Osama Saleh, Transport Minister Mohamed Rashad el-Mateny, Industry and Foreign Trade Hatem Saleh, Communications and Information Technology Minister Hani Abdel-Magied, International Cooperation Minister Ashraf el-Arabi, and Tourism Minister Mohamed Hisham Zazou are scheduled to discuss with their Chinese counterparts boosting bilateral cooperation.
