Prime minister Dr Hisham Kandel received Turkish ambassador in Cairo, the meeting tackled ways of supporting cooperation between the two countries in all fields, in addition to increasing Turkish investments in the Egyptian market. Turkish ambassador in Egypt mentioned that the coming period will witness more cooperation between the two countries and it is expected to increase mutual trade between Egypt and turkey to reach 5 billion dollar. The Turkish investments in Egypt reaches 1.5 billion dollar in agricultural industry, energy, also mutual relations will increase after the expected visit of Egyptian president to turkey, and the expected visit of Turkish president to Egypt.
Turkish ambassador assured that no Turkish investor will withdraw from the Egyptian market, as there is a lot of fields of mutual cooperation like industry, trade, transport, infrastructure, energy. The Egyptian- Turkish business council will be held in September to discuss mechanisms of cooperation between the two countries, in addition to increasing daily flights between Cairo- Istanbul and Alexandria – Istanbul, also Movement of trade will increase between the two countries after linking the ports of Alexandria and Port Said to Turkish ports, which will contribute to the transfer of Egyptian goods to Asia and European Union.
