Trade cooperation and relations were discussed by Emirati ambassador to Khartoum Hassan Ahmed Al Shehhi and Sudanese minister of foreign trade Othman Omar Al-Sharif. In remarks at the meeting, the Al-Sharif described the UAE as an important trade partner to Sudan. Noting growing trade with the UAE in recent years and stressed Sudan's willingness to harness barriers to trade between the two countries. Al-Shehhi reiterated the UAE's interest in enhancing relations with Sudan to serve the common interests of both countries.
