Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Minister Tariq Wafiq had talks on 25/9/2012 with officials representing the Turkish Industry and Business Association on a project to develop Suez Canal zone. Wafiq pointed out that those talks with the Turkish officials aim at increasing Turkish investments in Egypt and to implement an express train line to link Cairo with the 10th of Ramadan City. Turkish Ambassador Hussein Aouni has confirmed that his country is interested in boosting the economic cooperation with Egypt. He also pointed out that President Mohamed Morsi's visit to Turkey next month aims at discussing the US$ 1 billion which is expected to partly finance development projects and necessary steps to boost cooperation between the two countries.
