Electricity Minister Mahmoud Balbaa said new facilities will be offered to the private sector to encourage them to set up power plants to meet the country's growing needs of electricity. Among these facilities, Balbaa said, the Egyptian Company for Electricity Transfer will be committed to buy power produced from the private-owned projects or allow its transfer to contracting bodies. Also, the private sector will get lands necessary for power projects under usufruct system in return for two percent of produced energy annually, the minister said.
