HE Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, conferred here with Catherine Ashton, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. Talks during the meeting dealt with means of developing the Qatari-European relations. The current Middle East situation and other issues of mutual concern were also taken up. HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, Qatar's Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union, as well as members of the delegation accompanying HE the minister of state for foreign affairs attended the meeting which was held at the EU headquarters here. HE Dr. Al Attiyah and his accompanying delegation arrived in Brussels earlier Monday evening on a visit during which he will meet a number of officials in the Parliament and the European Union.
