Romanian Ambassador to UAE Adrian Macelaru presented his credentials to the Under Secretary of the Foreign Ministry Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi. At a ceremony held at the ministry headquarters, Aljunaibi wished the new ambassador every success in fulfilling his duties to bolster bilateral relations between UAE and Romania. Macelaru expressed happiness in representing Romania in the UAE, and hailed the distinguished position UAE has achieved on the regional and international levels, thanks to the wise policies of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. UAE and Romania set up diplomatic relations in 1989 and Romania opened its embassy in UAE in 1990. UAE opened its embassy in Romania in 2004.
