His Highness Gen. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces received Spanish Minister of Defense, Pedro Morenes Eulate, who is on a current visit to the UAE. Welcoming the Spanish minister and his delegation at the Qasr Al Bahr Palace, Sheikh Mohammed hailed the growing friendly relations between the UAE and Spain and their interest in strengthening them in different spheres to meet their aspirations and ambitions. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed and the Spanish Minister discussed matters of common interest, cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, in defense and military spheres in particular. The latest regional and international developments were also discussed at the meeting.
For his part, the Spanish Defense Minister expressed pleasure at meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed. He noted that Spain is looking forward to more partnerships that meet the aspirations of the leaderships of both countries. He commended the boom the UAE is seeing in different spheres. In attendance at the meeting were H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H.H Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, sheikhs and senior officials.
