Cairo-Alex Railway Signals to be Developed

Cabinet Spokesman Alaa Al-Hadidi confirmed that the implementation of one of the mega project in the railway on Cairo-Alexandria railroad by a specialized global company to develop the electrical signals and communications will take four years. He said that the project will also include establishing a central control tower in Cairo to control the operation of trains on the whole railroad. The spokesman added that the project will help increase safety and flow in the trains' movement on Cairo-Alexandria railroad which transports more than one million passengers daily, and that it will make the train system reaches global levels.
