The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) recently electronically linked its local aid system with the Emirates Identity Authority (Emirates ID) to reduce paperwork, save time and effort.
Secretary-General of ERC, Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, said the initiative was in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and President of ERC, to work towards shifting to smart government. In the new service, personal data of beneficiaries' are automatically relayed by ID card readers to a special database for easy identification of eligible aid applicants. |
