Egypt's Ambassador in London Nasser Kamel underlined on 2/2/2015 that Cairo is determined to restore its due status on the world economic map as one of the most promising emerging economies.
He was speaking during a meeting with British Minister of State for Middle East Affairs Tobias Ellwood and members of a commercial delegation that visited Cairo last month. Kamel told MENA that the meeting was important to follow up the outcome of the delegation's trip. He asserted that the British business community is interested in exploring investment opportunities in Egypt. This interest was confirmed by all members of the team. It was the largest commercial team to visit Egypt in 10 years, said the ambassador. He said he listened to their proposals for similar visits to Egypt. Kamel hailed the timing of the visit as it came while the country is getting ready to achieve an economic rise. He cited the growth rate which stands this year at 4.7 per cent and is expected to jump to 6-7 per cent in the coming two years. |
