The Canadian Ambassador to Egypt Troy Lulashnyk said that the economic relations between Egypt and Canada will witness a significant development during the coming period, especially after several Canadian companies signed investment agreements with Egypt with the value of USD 7 billion during Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) held in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Ambassador Lulashnyk hailed efforts of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Cairo to increase the trade exchange between the two countries, thus taking the volume of expected Canadian investments in Egypt up to USD 7 billion. This came during his visit to the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. The volume of trade between Egypt and Canada hit 1.1 billion dollars during 2013, Head of Canadian Chamber of Commerce Fayez Ezz-el-din noted, expecting an increase in trade between the two countries within the upcoming period. The upcoming period will witness a fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the various spheres, Ezz-el-din added. |
