The Egyptian Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has sponsored an initiative entitled “Support Your Country's Tourism” aiming at backing the Egyptian tourism, said Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Egyptians abroad, Ambassador Hisham Al-Naqib.
The initiative was floated by the Egyptian club in the UAE’s city of Al-Ain in cooperation with the tourist office in Abu Dhabi and the office of EgyptAir Company in the gulf country, Al-Naqib said. Under the initiative, flights will be arranged from Abu Dhabi to Sharm El-Sheikh for four nights during the UAE National Day celebrations in the first week of December, he said. He noted that the initiative "comes as part of efforts exerted by our missions abroad in coordination with the Egyptian expats to promote and support tourism." He added Egypt has launched several campaigns to promote Sharm El-Sheikh's tourism industry following the crash of a Russian plane, as "Great Egypt" initiative in Canada; the campaign of a million visitors from Saudi Arabia to Sharm El-Sheikh, and the initiative of the Egyptian community in Frankfurt and other moves designed to support and stimulate the tourism sector in the face of current challenges. |
