Suez Canal Economic Zone Authority Chairman Ahmed Darwish met David Thorne, Senior Advisor to the US Secretary of State, who is leading a delegation on a visit to Egypt.
The meeting tackled opportunities of investment for US firms in the economic zone as part of the authority's promotion plan, a press release said. The zone is 461 square meters with six ports, something which gives it an edge in addition to its unique geographic location, Darwish told the delegation. The authority grants exceptions and a lot of advantages for investors, said the Egyptian official. Thorne, for his part, praised the zone, asserting the interest of US investors in doing business in the area. |
