Cairo will host the third meeting of the trade ministers of Agadir Agreement countries.
The meeting, which will be attended by the trade ministers of Tunisia, Morocco and Jordan, is planned to be chaired by Egypt's Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil. In statements, Qabil said that the meeting aims at assessing the agreement, which began to be implemented in 2007. A number of cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding in the fields of intellectual property protection and dispute settlement will be concluded at the meeting, he added. The Agadir Agreement aims at establishing a free trade area between Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan and Egypt, as part of the Euro-Mediterranean free trade area envisaged in the Barcelona Process. |
