The member States to Agadir Agreement (Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Jordan) signed a Memo of Understanding (MoU) on the electronic exchange of information between their customs authorities.
The four countries also signed an agreement on the recognition of the Agadir authorized economic operator. During the third meeting of the Agadir Agreement's customs committee, Chairman of the Egyptian Tax Authority Magdy Abdel Aziz said the two deals will contribute to promoting inter-trade and removing obstacles facing the international trade movement of Mediterranean countries. The Agadir Agreement was signed in Morocco in 2004 to establish a free trade zone among the four countries with the support of the European Union. |
